General information

The DO-1 optical sensor is intended for installation in electronic ignition systems instead of the Hall sensor. The operation of the optical sensor is identical to that of the Hall sensor in ignition systems. The advantages of the optical sensor are:
– The optical sensor is not affected by the generator's magnetic field; it will work efficiently and for a long time in the area of ​​strong alternating magnetic fields;
– The optical sensor is not afraid of voltage surges, which makes it more reliable than a Hall sensor;
– Works in the infrared spectrum and is not afraid of light exposure;
– The reading of the revolutions is more accurate, which ensures the correct moment of the spark supply, the ignition of the mixture, and, as a consequence, the correct operation of the motor;
