Contactless electronic ignition 136.3734 (hereinafter BEZ) is designed to modernize the standard ignition system of VAZ 2101-2107 cars equipped with a B117A ignition coil.
BEZ is an optical infrared sensor, an electronic switch and a position adjustment indicator combined in one housing.
BEZ is installed under the cover of the ignition switch-distributor (distributor) instead of the contact pair in its regular place.
BEZ provides:
– high stability of the parameters of the ignition system during operation, since it does not contain mechanical (burning and erasable) elements;
– higher voltage (about 400V) on the primary winding of the ignition coil;
– high rate of voltage rise on the ignition coil, as a result, more reliable sparking.
